brick oven
« on: September 26, 2017, 02:56:45 pm »
so, hopefully I find the way to post some pics.

a few years ago we (a small "western & country club") have had the idea to build a "stone oven" to make bread.
last year we had to restore it. now, last Saturday we made bread, the meat below we made a few weeks ago.
see what comes out, be sure that all taste good ( not onlyfor me,  lol )

hope you like it,  enjoy
Hans

That thing is amazing!  (A) I've always wanted to make one of those! About how long did it take and about how much $ if you don't mind me asking?

neuse:       yes it`s a big one, nearly 2m x 1,2m. last out for 25 pcs of bread.

Upstate: I dont know the prices of brick stones in the States, most expensive is a fire resist cement, but you also can use loam , mixed with a bit salt to fix the stones. The price will depend at the measurement you will take.
In my garden I build a smaller one, maybe 1,2m x 0,8m, took me two weeks all around, made by my self without any other people.
The floor is made with fireclay, also expensive but make sense

Hawkdancer: sorry I have no plans, but if you really want I can make a sketch.
First I build the floor, than I made a stencil for the round arc, all others is „free hand“ build.

Leroy: we made al lot of Pizzas in the past, always funny is when everyone make his own,

the pics are from my home oven
