That was cool.
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

  • If the wood will bend, I'll make it beautiful!
He finished 83rd over all and 23rd in the mens tandem! Good job brother! I'm happy you made it all the way! Quite an accomplishment!

I have this mental image of Dave crossing the finish line with a tie dye shirt wearing those arm swimmy floats and his red beard flowing in the wind  ;D

As pics show, Dave was a happy paddler. But a TIRED happy paddler! I've never seen him at a loss for words, but it was likely due to exhaustion.
He knows ya'll were on hand, vicariously.
Much thanks to Pat and Eric and Paul.
Night-night all!!

Way to go Dave, ya made it. Congrats to you and your paddling partner.  Right respectable in my humble opinion.

Bottom line - he's done what others have dreamed about, or thought about or never considered actually doing.
