Some of you may know that Dave (dvshunter) has entered and is currently participating in a 340 mile race down the Missouri River.  Starting in Kansas city Kansas and ended in St Charles Missouri. He is doing this in a two man kayak. If you would like, here is a way to keep track of his progress and the race all together.
Go to raceowl. com  (remove the space between. And com)
It is quite the race and Dave has worked hard training for this.  Here is his info to look for on the long list of over 450 boats.  Check out number 56 in the pic below.  Team name is Fubar!
Good luck buddy! And be safe out there on the Missouri River!

If you go to raceowl and find his Team you can click on his underlined boat number and it will show where he is and when he checked in and out at the check it points.

Go, Dave!  That is a lot of traffic on that stretch of river!  Hopefully, it ain't at flood stage, it's wild enough at normal.

I am trying to find the TV clip that had him and his cousin at the start of the race but I cannot seem to locate it.  I think it was on Fox 4 out of KC, but I cannot locate it on their page. Sitting there watching tv last night and, low and behold, there is Captain Redbeard and his cousin right in front of the camera!

I was going to try to swing by the Miami, MO today, which is one of the check points, to see if I could see him, but time constraints with work meant that it just was not happening.

Pat B, not too many tug boats on the Missouri this far up.  This time of year it is mainly dredges trying to keep the channel open.  I think that is one reason they do it this time of year.  Not much barge traffic.

Also, they schedule it on a full moon so they can navigate the river better at night which will help.  I keep wanting to txt him to see how its going but I remember what happened when Pat called him and he was on the river.  So I will wait a few days  :)

Best of luck to Team FUBAR!!!

Row, row, row your boat Captain Red Beard. Sound like a real neat adventure.

I expect to see him check in in jefferson city any time.  I did notice that there is a lag in time from when they actually check in and when its posted on the web site.
Here is a link to his direct stats.  I noticed that these are a little more accurat than the big list.  But you have to refresh it.
