Hello,
long time no see (ok, thats on me

). Here is a recently finished black locust bow. The stave had a lot of very thin rings with a high percentage of early wood. Only four rings had a decent percentage of late wood, together they had a thickness of less than 1cm. Anyway, to use this four rings as good as posible i chased a ring as well at the back of the bow as at the belly, which resulted partially in a low hollow-limb design. The finish is with a selfmade sandel-wood stain, shellac and boiled linseed oil.
the lenght is 1,6m, weight 355g and drawweight 23lbs@26" (tillered till 28")
