Thanks again everyone, that's a pretty warm welcome!

@Wizardgoat: same goes for me, love your instagram feed (especially your last cable backed yew, man that thing!), I finally start to get the hang of this social media thing and there's loads of bow eyecandy out there!

I wil definately share my work here from now on, started working on a leftover sliver of mulberry yesterday so will post some pics if that works out.

Congratulations Leon, I told you that one was going to beat mine in the BOM. That is a beautiful bow and a fantastic introduction to PA. Looking forward to seeing more of your work in the future and voting for more of your bows in the BOM. Awesome job.

Thanks Bjrogg this really made my day! And motivates me to build more hld and recurves so expect some new ones in the following months! Have to finish a few lam bows this week and after my holiday it is on to the selfbows again!

That is a real beauty :)
If you get the hankering to try another like it, try deflexing the fades a few inches. I found it took my recurves to the next level. In general I get around another 5 - 8 fps or so by doing it compared to straight out of the handle. I guess it is keeping the wood 'fresher'.
Anyway again that is a stonker of a bow :)
