Thanks to DC for providing me some great materials to play with! He gave me a bundle of Beauty Bush shoot shafts that were damn near perfect(not sure how much work you did to them Don), and I finally got around to building one. I love shoot shafts. I make dozens of arrows from TSA Sitka spruce for my business, and doing shooting something primitive once in a while is just awesome! Just gotta get better at knapping lol!

Another nice looking arrow Blayne! I remember Don posted about the beauty bush shoots. Those look like factory shafts! Cheers- Brendan

Sorry, I can't remember how much time I spent on them if any. I do remember they were quite straight right off the bush. Let me now how they stand up. Oh. nice arrow.

Thanks guys! If you didn't do much processing on those shafts Don, they have to be the best shoot shafts going. It took the tung oil so good, it has a perfect, thick coating on it. Really nice to work with for sure!

Kolkwitzia amabilis is it's Latin name. It's a garden shrub. Also called Linnaea amabilis. Originates in China. It's a beautiful arching bush. You will have no problem convincing your wife to plant one.
