I tried something different yesterday evening and cut strips of sheep hide for string silencers.  They are doing the job and I like the way they look but I'm not convinced on their making it over the long haul.  It seems like they want to let go of the fibers?  Anyone have any experience on this?

I'm feeling pretty good about the tiller.  The lower limb has the knot hole and a kink so I don't think I want a lot more working limb where it looks a little stiff.  Debating.  Wanting to stay a little stiff at that side knot in the upper limb.  Suppose another scrape or two, perhaps.
It is shooting great and without sound.  I'm grouping carbon arrows on a pie plate at 20 paces repeatedly, so I'm happy.

Working on a set of cane arrows and figuring on weaving a basket quiver out of coconut palm fronds for this year.  Be something new.

Got a couple hundred shots through the bow and I'm pleased.  A touch over 50#@28".  I used Bison fur for silencers and they are doing the job, I like their look.  No shelf, after really shooting a lot more traditional recurve I'm enjoying shooting off my hand again.  Rubbed it down in beeswax.  I like it.  Feels kind of raw and natural.  Osage knocks. Nice and simple.

Got my cane arrows being fletched up and weaving a basket quiver.  Posting that under Primitive Skills.
