Okay, what is the secret to bending yew? I'm trying to mildly recurve the tips of the Western Community bow and steam doesn't seem to do a thing.
Do you have to boil this stuff?

Gordon sorry I didn't get home till late to see this. Be carefull to not dry them out to fast after boiling. I have had them crack from drying to fast afterward

Keenan, the stave is in my garage - hopefully it will not dry out too fast in there. How's that character bow of yours doing - I can't wait to see the finished product!
