Speckled alder any good for arrows?
I harvested a couple dozen and then thought I better ask. (usually how I do things  :-\)

Don't know about speckled alder. We have tag alder here and I think it it would be pretty flimsy and shafts would have to be pretty big to get heavy enough spine.

try it, please let us know how it performs-
we have red alder here- might be worth trying it someday!
