Another absolute stunner. Very impressive specs and no surprise, it is gorgeous. I love the colors showing in the wood in the Tutti Fruiti picture.
Always good to see a heavy bow demonstrating that grain can run out in some woods.
Carson, I don't like that heavy run out - but couldn't avoid. So I thought it could hold or not, it did and it is o.k.
Perhaps we can risk a good amout more on those things, who knows.

That wood is beautiful, Simon! Do you think you might have problems with the heavy draw weight and those lateral stars and lines coming out of the knots?

The cracks are drying cracks and absolut stable, the limb is natural thicker here - this might solve the problem.I filled the biggest crack with thinny ca glue, just in case.
Yes that is a very nice bow. It is a shame apple likes to check so badly....I've got 3 pairs of pristine billets that I need to find inspiration for!
Mike, this one was a sapling of 2" dia. I brought it down to near dimensions soon after harvesting. I think this helps avoiding checking.
