55#@28 Hickory Backed Osage Static
« on: December 24, 2016, 02:46:14 pm »
Hey all,  here is one I just finished up. 55@28". 64" NTN. 1.5" wide.  Made from Osage billets when they were on sale at 3 rivers. Glued up with 2 inches of perry reflex. For a good friend of mine who is really getting into trad archery.  He already had one of my old longbows and when he saw that my other friend had one of my recurves, he really wanted one as well.  The handle is inspired by Marc St Louis handles but is not completely centershot.

My buddy shooting. His form is pretty good!  I wouldn't have guessed that's his first 55# bow!

That's a beauty Bubbles.  Those handle Lams sure are nice!  That's a great bend to boot.

Great looking bow, and I love the bend going on. It looks like it kept its profile very well. I bet that's a quick little bugger.

Thanks for all the comments!  Apparently he just got his first robin hood with it, so he's pretty happy.

That is one nice looking bow. I love the smooth and straight unbraced profile terminating in those round sharp hooks. Glad to see your back on PA.  :)

Very nice work. I like the contrast between hickory and osage.
