HHB flat bow
« on: November 15, 2016, 10:39:08 am »
This is the bow I made for the guy wanting the bows. HHB 64 1/2" ntn 60# @ 28" draw. Mild heat treatment. I tried to get a pic of how the bow limbs twist in opposite directions coming out of the handle. Didn't really capture it well. No corrections on this bow just took what the wood had to give me. I really like this bow.

Nice bow congrats!

From the photograph I can't see the front view shape clearly, however, if I'd be nitpicking I would make the outer third of the limbs bend a bit. What do the experienced guys on this side think about this?

Sweet one. I've got an HHB stave roughed out right now, so this one gets spiked. Thanks for posting!

Nice one, big Jon! Good to see you're making productive use of the time you have available. Congrats!

Gian-luca on a bow of this length I like the outers stiff. Gives a better cast IMO. You are not wrong with your statement though. Thanks for commenting.
