Hackberry static
« on: November 15, 2016, 10:31:45 am »
Had a guy want me to make three bows for him. This is for his father. Hackberry static 64" ntn 52# @ 28" draw. No reflex just bent in some hooks. This bow seems to be really fast. Not a world record breaker just real fast. I forgot how much I like a heat treated piece of Hackberry!

That's sweet Jon!  I really like the FD pic.  That curve is just so nice and even.  Do the hooks open up some?  It looks like they might be working a little bit in the FD.

Maybe a little Eric. I tried to thin them a little more than I usuall would. Hard to know when to stop sometimes.

That's a very nice looking hackberry bow.  I roughed one out a while back.  I might copy that style.  Very nice work Jon.

I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

Father of the guy is gonna be one happy feller. Bud, you're doing some cooool stuff!

Bows like that are the ones that do seem to break world records at the flight shoots. Very nice job on that one. I always enjoy working with hackberry.
