A Hurricane Matthew Day

I chipped out these two the day I stayed home when the Hurricane was raging on the East coast. These are the first I've done in a while But the windy weather kept it cool and blew the mosquitos away. The little one is Tallahatta and the red one is heat treated flint River,"butterscotch".

Thanks, guys. Don, it'll take whatever it takes to get rid of the mosquitoes and we're back in the low 90's.

Orrum, it's what some people call the rock from South Ga. usually found around Flint River and in the Withlacoochie River. It is a semi-transluscent rock that turns red when heat treated. It is a type of high grade Coastal Plains Chert.

I need to go to the Flint River, isn't there a dirt road you hound there after the road grader fixes the road?

The dirt road I new about off of the river where you had to cross a ditch has been closed off by the city and No Tresspassing signs put up.

I met a guy at the Alafia Rendezvous a few years ago that had a bunch of it. When he found out that I went up there getting it he got real nasty and started talking about peoplecoming up there stealing "his" rock. Turned out he was in charge of Public Service for the City of Flint River and used inmates to dig rock for him.

i'm glad the hurricane is gone, mullet would be completely out of rock if he had 2 more days at home. good looking pointy rocks
