Native American Bow - Alistair Hamilton
« on: September 29, 2016, 04:56:23 pm »
I was looking for books with more information on NA bows and the book Native American Bows popped up, but it's pretty spendy, does anyone have this book that can verify its worth $65-70? Obviously that is subjective, but the more information I can learn about these bow the better. Thank you

More info on existing Native American bows and old accounts than any other book out there(I have them all). Get the never print with multiple appendixes on hornbow measurements, builds and Popes tests.

I'll have to see if I can find those last two. I have many books on Native Americans and am always looking to add to the collection, but I have all the others you have there. If you find any more, please, let me know. I'm looking for all the information I can.

Thanks,

Eric

That's a really good price. Everything I've seen so far has been $65-75. I'll keep looking to see if I can find a better deal

I got it much cheaper, probably less than $20. At that price, I would buy a newer version of "The Bow Builder's Book: European Bow Building from the Stone Age to Today". I seem to have misplace the older version I have.

Yep HD that's the prices I was seeing ,also keep in mind mine was listed Good condition with the caveat  ,yellowed pages & slightly bumpy spine & fading cover so will see when I get it ,as long as I can read it I'm ok with that.

Got my copy today haven't  had a chance to read it threw ,but did a long look threw its very good book on the subject & has good coverage on composite bows , there was some notes & pics on  Rusian native composite bows that I have never seen before ,really cool  It's a great book but would say it would be over priced at the price most retailers are asking $65 at $27 bucks to my door step it's was worth it & this one was in better condition then they said which was a surprise.
