Here's 3 poplar arras i spun out the veritas dowel maker. They are barrel tapered. 11/32 point end 3/8 center shaft to 11/32 nock end. I also used Pat B's style taperin jig.

Those are some good look'n arra's Mike, always wondered about those dowel mak'n jigs.. Just might have to invest in one.
BTW love those self nocks on those dowel arra's.

The poplar shafts I got from Charlie Jefferson(also with Veritas) are tough as nails. Hope you get the same results. I think Charlie also ran his shafts through a compression block.

Bill, i use 3 Rivers feather chopper. It's a 5" shield cut but i adjust it to a wider cut. I just like a fatter cut feather

Yeah Mike, they spined at 2 at 46# and 1 at 48#. Shootin em out of 50# bow and they're perfect. Even shot em out of lower # bow and no prob.
