Thanks, Dubois. The string alignment us centered. The arrow rest has a tiny bit of relief. I do that just to ease arrow passing. Still plenty of paradox though. :)

That is a sweet bow! I am going to try a juniper bow next, hopefully I can get one half as good as this.

that bow is a dream bow for me. I love the skins, leather work, that looks like a fast bow!

I took her our and put a couple dozen arrows through her this morning and she felt a bit heavier, so I put her on the tiller tree to check the weight. Right past 25", she exploded on me. It appears that it sheared apart at a knot under the handle. I figured, with the sinew backing and the handle being static, that it wouldn't be an issue. Guess I was wrong. Luckily, I'm so excited about my first piece of yew coming in the mail soon, that I'm not as bummed about this one biting it. Really sucks to see all that time going down the drain(especially the sinew processing, ugh!). Anyway, bring on the next one. :)

That's too bad. Surely you can save the sinew though, or most of it. I know a little bit about recycling the stuff.  ;D

Wow, hate to see that.  I've never worked Yew, but I too would be stoked knowing I had a piece on it's way.  Good luck with it.

Thanks, guys. I thought about salvaging the skins and sinew. I decided that I'm going to glue it back together and make a bow rack out of it.

Man, that's a bummer.  Sorry for you.  Such a fine looking bow.  Start another one.
