Chronographing an arrow without a chronograph

I think your bow is likeley shooting below 170 fps. We take chrono reading for accuracy within 1 fps. We already know pretty close to what they are shooting.

Yeah, that is what I am figuring. It is still interesting comparing the actual trajectory to predicted velocity.

thanks Badger for the input, I dont know how to calculate,, I just made a guess based on past results,,I was a little high,, but I dont know fiberglass bows very well,,the best way for me to tell,,, is just go out and shoot the thing,,

 Brad I just guessed what I think is close, I thought your guess was very close as well. I think he would loose about 14 fps with the extra 114 grains. From what I understand the sages are shooting 10 grains in the low 180's but I have never seen an official test of any kind.

My guess is just below 170 with that arrow weight.
