Ok I looked twice and didn't see no ugly on that bow. Am I looking at the wrong post?  I like it nice bow right down to the tips.
Did the Native Americans think about all this that much or just do it?

Whatchu talkin' bout?   Ain't no ugly on that stick!  Beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.  In my experience, no matter what your lookin' at, if it's ugly...grab another beer and it'll start looking better!  >:D.  Seriously though, the only thing on that bow that gives me pause is the crack that runs through the handle up through the fade.  I've had em split right there if I didn't leave enough meat for the cutout shelf.  But...if you doped it good with superglue and made the fade nice and long it should be fine.  Nice job!  Josh

Since you ruined it just send it to me and I'll dispose of it for you.  ;D That's a classic full draw you have there. Beautiful!   8)
I don't think the tips were too narrow to begin with. If you leave the tips 1/2" thick you can narrow them to 1/4" or maybe less.

Well I appreciate the compliments. What I had made too thin was the nock. It was a pin knot and too small so I did these tips to beef it up.

So, today at the gunshow I met football hall of fame running back Joe Washington. Got to pose with him for a pic and he autographed both of my bows I had with me.  I dont know if that does anythimg to help or hurt them. Depends on if you are a Redskins fan or no.

Hall of fame. Can't hurt them at all sleek. That is pretty cool. So what did he think of a selfbow?

He thought it was neat, asked If I shot them, made a joke about holding them backwards, I made a hillary clinton joke, he autographed, we talked a few seconds about them, and went to the next person in the crowd.

That bow turned out very nice Sleek, fine finish work and full draw seems dead on. I think you did more than good on fixing your issues with it.

Those cracks are almost non existent. Just enough of them left to show color from oxygen exposure.

A nice hand painted full color Redskins logo might be appropriate at this point, or maybe just a two tone stencil version in that mahogany stain. Full color might be too gaudy.
