Some UK Primitives

I thought you may like to see some UK primitives. Phot taken at a recent SPTA shoot.

I'm second from left with the ridiculously long arrows and axe made ash bow.
Second from left is am amazing bow made from Ivy.
On the far right is a replica of a US Native bow but I forget the details.
A great bunch of guys, the fledgling UK Primitive movement

They all look happy because they have been to the beer tent. We can't even bring own to archery shoots(ceptin Pappy's) much less have a beer tent! >:(     Pat

The shoot was down near London within the M25. I think many of those who came had come from a fair distance away though.
My club is in Kent near Rochester. Send me an email at markdesignhill@aol.com if you want to be put on the email list for our primitive archery and atlatl events.

Sorry, haven't got any more pics or details of the Ivy bow. It was amazing to look at and failry low in draw weight for it's size but it did make a shootable bow.
Cowboy and Mullet, yes the bow on the far right is a gull wing, hawthorn if I remember right. I think the guy has been over the the US so maybe you met him.
PatB, We hadn't been to the beer tent, we are just happy because we know all the good beer is on this side of the Antlantic!

Thanks Mark.  What are those long arrows for?  You'd hardly need a bow, just stand there and poke them at the target.
