Found Points
« on: July 30, 2016, 11:11:31 pm »
These are all points found by either me or my old man the broke one (i broke it when i was a dumb kid) and the top left were found in my back yard in Alvin Tx (directly between houston and galveston. The long one at the top left was found in brazos bend state park. Not sure what they're called as far as style or the rock. The broken one is just about 3 inches long

Very interesting finds! I love how you can actually find these artifacts in the US since many Native Americans made them. 😊

whats interesting to me is that rock like that doesn't really exist around where I grew up. it made some travels to that point either in head form or raw!

That's very interesting indeed, you can only imagine what could've happened through trades, travels etc.. History is amazing.

I live about a half hour south of Alvin, and can confirm that finding points there is extremely rare, good finds!

Very nice points.
I lived in Alvin several years.  I found numerous stone points around there.  Try the Brazos river bed off FM 1462 when the river is low.
I also found a camp washing out of the banks on Chocolate Bayou Bay.  Lots of Perdiz points.
