Oh I also know of a very dense wood that originates from South America. If you can find a block of Itin/Caranda wood, it may be good for making percussion tools.

I live Minas Gerais (South-East) , and its true, even though those rocks are easy to find, they are also extremely expensive , and since I'm still a starter I wouldn't like to end up ruining some opal for example!

Your copper came to me today. I'll box them up with what I have and try to get them in the mail next week. It might be tough since I have to work out of town all next week.

And, when I was in Patrocinio I saw two deer and a cool looking snake, looked like a cross between a rattlesnake and a water moccasin. They told me it was a viper.

Hopefully you won't have to resort to buying rocks. Just find a river or a lake and start looking, or anywhere roads or train tracks cut into a mountain. I live in an area notorious for having poor knapping rock(unless you like rhyolite).  I do still manage to find enough to keep me busy.  I'm having a hard time selling my wife on the idea of buying boxes of rocks for me to break, so for now it's local stuff.

Deers are actually quite rare to see around Here, I'm surprised !
While snakes , mostly vipers , aren't Too hard to find.

@Dakota Kid, well where I live there are no lakes or rivers, however , next week or so, I'll go hunting in a place that has rivers and waterfalls, I'll stay there for about 4-5 days, I'll probably go searching for some rocks aswell!

  Finding your own rock is like cutting your own stave's. It only means something that you and only you will enjoy and understand.

  I can't remember my first point I'm sure it wasn't as good as yours.
