Well, it's been longer than I like, but I finally got the bow to the dimensions I want to start tillering at. I also got the tip overlays glued on and roughed out. I'm using a wood called katalox. It pretty dense stuff, so I think it'll do fine as an overlay.

The plan is to exercise the limbs with 30 pulls for every inch of draw weight. If there are any adjustments I need to make in the limb, I won't pull any further. I'll scrape the stiff spots, exercise another 30 times, and check to make sure everything is bending nicely before pulling to the next inch of draw length. I'm also lining up the bow so that the pulley is pulling on the string about where I think the middle of the middle finger will be on the string. I am aiming for equal timing for the limbs.
