Little bit of character osage bow. now with full draw PICS

This is an osage orange bow from billets. Its for my wife Angie its 62 ntn African blackwood tip overlays. The handle riser started to seperate slightly so I wrapped the whole thing and it worked like a charm. Maybe a bit ugly but its not going to break.
Full draw will be tomorrow after the finish cures another day. Thanks for looking

Looks like you have your fade outs too abrupt. This is what caused the handle to lift. If you made them 1 /12" or 2" long instead of short, your handles won't pop off.

Thanks. The reason it got a little seperation is because I had less than3/4" of osage to work with so there wasnt much for fades.

I just measured it and its 1/2 " at the thickest part of the osage and thats how thick it was when I started so I didnt have much to work with
. The fades are 1 3/4 long. Also I dont think this handle would have come of. It got a little seperation at the glue line on one side when I bent it backwards
The wrap is just insurance.

Yup yer right, she is much easier on the eyes
Tilller looks good. Well done.
Hide the Muskie when I come pick ya up for the classic, that skin would look great on a bow.

Thanks Oldbow
Thanks Dana It was a little tricky for me tillering it because of the humps and bumps and curves but for my first osage I am happy.
She would kill you if she caught you with that musky
She caught it on 8# test on a telescopic pole in a row boat with no landing net. Its 30# 48".

Nice bow, nice paneling and trim, nice rockwork, nice musky, nice armadillo, and a pretty wife, too. You've got it all going on.
