2 piece take- down ideas?

I would like to see everyone's 2 piece take-down systems. I have a couple billets I may tear into a later this year. Thanks in advance

I've posted this before and it doesn't have a proper coupling, but it works. Its also cheap and easy.

4 1/2" metal conduit, 1" wide, slightly compressed into an oval shape.

is that oval enough to stop the limbs turning inside the tube?...it looks almost circular!!

Call them "inadvertent and inconvenient take-downs".

The glass/carbon sleeve is pretty popular as an easily done option with less fitting required.

Dragonman, twisting hasn't been much of a problem, I've made several this way, some oval tube some regular. I glue the bottom limb into the sleeve and if the other limb has any play a small piece of tape on the tyne will keep it snug. A 1" tube is enough handle for a #50 bow if you use a wood like osage.

  I do it just like Hrothgar, except I cut the butt ends at an angle, maybe 30 degrees, so they overlap in the middle, and don't turn,  but about 3/4" of each piece is full round thickness.

square or rectangle stock works great, too.  You can glue on leather or wood slats to round out and shape the handle.
