While this is a primitive forum I like hearing observations on modern materials. We were always told that a glass back and a wood belly would result in a crushed belly since glass doesn't have much stretch and yet you are successfully using carbon on wood.
Carbon REALLLY doesn't stretch.

Pat, before I found out about primitive bowyery I had glass backed several bows with no issue. I think what happens is the neutral plane just moves closer to the back of the bow.

I am one of the lucky owner of 2 Nawalny bows, he actually made one of these in self bow, sinew backed. Super smooth and a joy to shoot. Very egyptian looking.

Funny but for this time I have better results on all wood bows. Maybe I am poor in synthetic materials
Now I made few changes in angular form. Bows are a little more agressive and with small static recurve like classic egyptian bows. I have stronger bows with theseme mass and better energy storage. I dont have yet results but I think it will be interesting, I must make FD curve and good chrono test. Updates in next week
