Shooting better than ever!
« on: September 01, 2015, 09:14:32 pm »
I think I'm ready for hunting season! I've been shooting at least 3 dozen shots a night. I can't shoot too many more because my shoulders have been pretty sore, my left one especially. But I'm hitting the target nicely! Alright Mr deer, 20 yards or less! Patrick

This is from 20 yards!

This is from 25, a couple of wild ones.

Yes that's my rawhide bow! I cut the flowers down last weekend!

Thanks Eric! Patrick

Good shootin'!!

Thanks Mike!

I have shot for years, I use to compete with wheel bows back in the day. I've just been really practicing more here lately. Don't worry DC keep at it  and you will get it. Patrick

Nice shooting Patrick. Keep it up and work on the 25 yards more. Now, lets see how you shoot with a deer out in front of you.  ;)

Thanks Pat! It worked out last year. But it's hard to miss when they are close enough to spit on.  >:D

Yeah the 25 wasn't the best I've shot. I'm a snap shooter so sometimes I forget to get to full draw and anchored. Something I'm trying to work on. Patrick

When I find that I am snap shooting I will purposely hold for a second before releasing instead of shooting when my anchor is reached. After a few of these I can usually go right back to the quick release.

Thanks Pat, I will take note of that and report back this evening after my shooting session. Patrick
