Northwest Slinging Video

Went and did a little cabin at the lake slingin this weekend and wanted to share with you all   ;)

65-70 meter shots according to the range finder with 160-180 g rocks. These are not distance shots but more power shots I'd say. Next time I go up I'll take some distance footage.

Enjoy

Cool looking slings. Do you make them from natural cordage? Ed

Thanks! I do I make them from an agave based hard fiber plant that I dye and treat. This is the same material used on the Balearic Islands to this day. I have however been weaving in tough spectra line into the last couple inches of the whip to make sure it lasts forever.

Thanks guys. It's a 5 weave flat braid. Here is a solid tutorial that will get you in the right direction: http://slinging.org/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1382647725/0

Here is a 3 part video of how they are woven with grass fibers. Enjoy I'll check back for questions.

It translates just wait ;)

Looks like fun! I'd need a target at the far end.   ;)

Thanks so much for your compliments!!!

Until I can make another video, here is an excellent video of a professional Balearic Slinger named Luis Pons Livermore
It gets really impressive at about 1 minute into the video.
