Dog Wood in the finishing stages. Got it shot in and after much thought I decided to add the Coral snake skins I had been saving, held about and inch of reflex and came in 45@26 ,it shoot nice and very smooth and quite. :) Full draw and more pictures when she is all dolled up. ;)

Pappy did you run that over the same caul you do most of your flat bows on? Temper it?

I used one with out the sides[open on the sides] to temper it, seems to work better and not scorch by going around it as much, all it needed at that point was tempering and no tweaking from  tip to tip or propeller twist so I had no need for the regular one. I had been thinking about doing them that way for a while if all they needed was reflex or heat treating. Seemed to work better for me, I tend to put a lot of heat on them and have to be careful not to scorch the sides and back. ??? This worked out much better. ;)

Chris it really did surprise me at how well it shot, like I said very smooth and hit what I was looking, not the fastest bow I have every shot but speed don't mean that much to me it they are smooth/quite and hit what I look at and this one did all of that. :)

Looks great so far, I'm sure it'll turn out absolutely stunning. I've been meaning to cut some dogwood staves, this just gave me the motivation to do it :)
Whatever you are, be a good one.

Oh WOW, that bow is going to look awesome with those coral snake skins.  I can't wait to see how you're going to finish it out.  That will be a special one for sure.
