question on handles for bendy handle bows
« on: July 24, 2015, 08:26:43 pm »
So I have seen a bunch of people use cork or leather build ups on bendy handle bows to give the grip a more comfortable feel.

My questions,  what is the source for your cork I'm the handles?

And other than gluing up layers of leather are there any other comfortable styles you guys have tried?
Thanks for your help!
Ty

i found some at my local hardware store that was sold as cork gasket material 1/8'' thick 12'' wide 36'' long, i think that it was 6-7 dollars. if memory serves it was in the isle with the motor oil and other little car type parts.

I've used cork tiles that I found in the storage isle at Lowe's.  They were 1/8 x 12 x 12.

I bought a stack of cork glass coasters at Hobby Lobby for cheap. They were about a 1/8" thick - worked good glued & stacked with TB111. Bob

Assuming comfort is relative, I've used a piece of cloth glued to the handle then wrapped with jute. Not a very soft grip though.

I appreciate all the feedback guys, the coasters sound super simple but I'm already gonna be at lowes so I think tiles it is

With the cork you can still feel the bend

You can feel the leather bend also. I like to feel it give just as I hit full draw.
