Do you guys normally seal your sinew when wrapping fletchings and hafting points to your arrow shafts?

I use pitch varnish also. I have used TBIII, Duco cement and super glue. All worked well.

I have used super glue in the past, I just don't like the glossy appearance it gives it.

I use TB3 as well, applied with a damp brush.3 coats, let cure, then wet sand.apply glue,(and sand), until it it a perfectly smooth transition between head, sinew, and arrow. Sinew is waterproofed, and excellent arrow penetration. MHO God bless

I tried using tb3 and I prefer it over the super glue, it has less of a glossy sheen. Thanks everyone

Last ones I made the sinew strips were put in some warm hide glue before wrapping. Once wrapped and set I smeared just hide glue around the outside and it was a good protection. Heat and water will soften the hide glue, not certain how long it would take with only water.

For Arra wrapping, I'd always just chew the piece of Sinew for a minute before wrapping. TB lll was used to seal. Bob

I use epoxy. I take my finger and tamp the glued area a few times and it dulls the glossy finish.
