Sealing axe handle
« on: May 26, 2015, 02:02:42 pm »
I'm about to finish wittling on a white ash handle for my double bit axe. I'm thinking about using watered down TB3 to seal the ends of the axe and using a deer tallow/beeswax to seal the rest. Think this will work or is there something better that I should use instead?

Thanks
Kyle

I used tung oil on the last one I replaced.  I've never used deer tallow on anything before.  Would it get slippery if you were sweating?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left
