Thanks chuck. Let me know what kind of antler your looking for I might be able to help you out with that. There's a lot of people out here where I live always out looking for sheds.

Well Marlen, if you come across a large elk horn with a near strait section over 32", thats what I'm looking for. Looking for something I don't have to boil to straiten much. As antler breaks down when boiled and gets weak.

Red stags are first cousins of elk. I'm sure the Queen could spare an antler or two.  ;)

I look at this bow and cant help but wonder, would siyahs be a good fit here? Especially without a wooden core?

     Beautiful.  Is it, the whole antler, or is it just the hard outer part?  Also how do you tiller an antler?

Actually, Elk was long thought to be the same species as red deer. They share a common recent ancestor (but more with eastern asian red deer), just like grizzly and brown bear, and a bunch of other species that are shared among the two continents such as reindeer.
So you could get yourself some stag antlers. If you go to northern lapland, you can tons of shed reindeer antlers in early spring. Should make an antler bow as well.
