I'm sending this bird a flying to Tennessee later today. the blade is some Ga. Flint River. It has some interesting lines in it I thougt it would make a good bird wing.

That is a knife I would like to own! :)  If it is going to be in the raffle I will put some dollars in the can for a chance to win it!  Joe

Really cool knife! It's definitely different then the cookie cutter knives I see a lot. I have a big chunk of the GA caramel, which I think comes from the Flint River. Were you at the N. Georgia knap-in by chance?

Turbo, no I didn't go to N.Ga knapp-inn tis year but really enjoyed it last year. The flint river has some great rock in it. The birds eyes are made out of black coral.

Ahh, I got there late Friday but not much knapping was going on by that time. Saturday had a threat of severe weather but it turned out to be a nice day. We had to leave early Saturday evening and I wish that I could've spent more time there. It was nice reconnecting w/ the knapping community again, it was my first knap-in since the 90's.

Yes, that is some nice flint and killer job on the knife!
