Ive been told i should put 5 inch Fletcher's on my long bow arrows, yet 3 to 4 inch on my recurve and mongol , is this right and if so why

I use 4 in. on most of mine and they seem to do fine,I don't think it matters much if the arrows are well matched to the bow. :)I use to use 5 1/2 highbacks but they just slow them down,
al tho they will correct quickly if you have some kind of problem.

I use 5 1/2" high back fletching with a slightly offset straight fletch ...not helical. Actually you should probably use the least amount of feathers as you can get by with. Pat

.............I dont use feathers out ta 15 yards er so. Ya dont need em' at these ranges........bob
