Just saw the post about intended use. Any bow in my hand is potential hunter, that being said, I'd still be happy with any bow given!!!

Bubbles that's a sweet shape to that one! I like the overlays and the short hooks. Can't wait to see the rest of the bend!  :laugh: Patrick

Yeah, basically we want to know if we should do our normal finish or if you really need it matte.

Might as well make them short, save some wood to keep warm.

Mine will be going into the woods for sure, but its about 50:50 on the hunting, at least for the next year or two. I'll leave it up to whatever my person thinks fits the spirit of the bow best.

Like Accipiter, I'll be delighted with any finish that fits the spirit of the bow.....not picky on the sheen.

Sheen does not matter to me.
Speaking of sheen I just put my last coat of finish on and going to work on the grip tonight.

I think I'm in the same boat on sheen as most on here, Whatever suits the individual bow suits me. Seems like some have more character that a little more sheen will make pop while others benefit more from the the warmth of a more dull finish.

Aaaand Bob's the first again ;)

Here's why I haven't cut into my trade stave yet. From front to back I've got:

An order
Blaflair's bow for some osage
2015 PA trade bow ;)
My next shooter
The Bat Bow, finally ::)
Two short/skinny r/d's, going to try more pronounced bends this time, might bend some tips ;D

I'll get the Osage out with my taxes. So I'm not worried about being first on the list. I'm slacking with this artic crap surrounding us. I found a couple other dead standing stuff I had. So I'm cleaning it all up and gonna box it up. Trying to make it lighter.
