I always like seeing him shoot. I haven't really looked into his historical sources for some of the stuff he claims, but I'll say this much - what he does looks to be effective for an archer fighting alone against multiple opponents. I don't think it would be as effective to have a group of archers doing what he does, other than the quick firing.

Only about 40 people have sent this to me on Facebook today.

I might hear some flak, but I am highly skeptical of his unsupported assertions that he presents like documentable fact.  Long ago, I posted something to that effect on a youtube video and was attacked en masse.  The theme was that if I could not shoot like him I should shut up.  That carries as much proof as saying I am rubber, you are glue, bounces off me and sticks to you! Meanwhile, I have yet to see great evidence supporting his theories.

But if I was in a running battle limited to archery equipment, I want him on my side!  You cannot fault his shooting!

Now comes the question, is his training duplicatable in numbers?   In other words, can he take a mess of recruits and train them in these techniques such that they are all proficient?  Or is this something akin to being the cream of the crop?  Not everyone that dribbles a basketball is going to be Michael Jordan.

Truly amazing skills! I've only heard of people holding their arrows in their bow hand. But you can't take away from his skill with his technique.
Mast of the speed shooters that I have seen are just fast! He is fast and deadly accurate! Patrick

i'm with JW the stuff lars is doing looks really cool, but honestly i think it looks more like the Hollywood/trick shooting than anything else, still incredible skill.

I wonder what the draw weight on the bow is, what exactly his technique is for holding and shooting the arrows (does he use a thumb ring?), is he getting a full draw... I want details!

For those of you who frequent Reddit there is a request for him to do an AMA.  If they get through to him and he can actually dedicate a day to doing it I'll post it should I see it.  There's not much better a way to find that stuff out than to ask him, Calamitus.

Even better, fetch him over here to South Dakota in the fall and I will drag his happy butt out into the pheasant fields. We'll shoot a video to make folks stand up and bark about!
