New plains quiver
« on: January 12, 2015, 09:43:50 pm »
African plains  ;D  It's made with wildebeest and zebra hide.  The zebra was an old wine cover I got at a yard sale.  It had a zipper top.  You can see the holes where the zipper was stitched on.  I had to take it apart and cut it down some to fit.  I made sure to leave the stamp on the inside.  I enjoy repurposing old stuff any time I can.  I put two screws into the the antler to hold the belt loop fold.  I think I'm going to redo the antler.  I just drilled a hole for the screws.  I think it would hold up better if I drilled and tapped the holes and used machine bolts.  I used a stiff leather for the back.  I stitched the wildebeest hide onto the back and folded it over.  I've been wanting a hip quiver for 3D shoots.  I can't wait to try this one out.

You are a clever little monkey, an adept scrounger, and a champion re-purposer.  Mighty fancy looking work there, Clint!  You'll look good with that on your hip, driving the re-purposed golf cart Buck Truck!

That is a sweet hip quiver.  Probably the most interesting I have seen being it is made out of wildebeest and zebra.
