It will be soooo kewl to meet so many of the folks on PA and be able to say "THANK YOU" in person!
... alone in distant woods or fields, in unpretending sproutlands or pastures tracked by rabbits, even in a bleak and, to most, cheerless day .... .  I suppose that this value, in my case, is equivalent to what others get by churchgoing & prayer.  Hank Thoreau, 1857

THIS IS AWESOME!!!!  I have been in the Navy a little over 20 years and have never been able to make it to this.  I'm getting ready to transfer off my submarine to my neXt duty station and figured before I pick my date I'll check the date for the TN classic.  Low and behold the dates line up perfectly!!!!  Might even get there a few days early!!!  CAN'T WAIT!!!

Does it cost anything to get in or camp? I basically plan on parking my car hanging a tarp in a tree, and learning as much as I can

Bruce, it costs $20 to sign up for the shoot but with that entry fee camping is free. Entertainment is free too!  ;D

sounds great Dave! This will be a great break for ya, and believe me when I say this group has a lot of respect for our veterans.

Bruce the tarp idea will be fine (I know several have slept in hammocks,) just be prepared for weather. Normally rain is in the forecast, and last year we learned that it can get cold in them thar hills as well!

Well that stinks.  I enjoyed visiting with you guys and warming up at your fire on my way back to camp.  Hope things work out for you to make it.

Hopefully Bryan Irwin and I will make it again. Keep a seat in the "Knapping Pit" warm for me.

If I could make it this year I would be so happy! I need to bring a driver so I can study on the way down and the way back.  >:D
