4 for Christmas
« on: December 05, 2014, 04:51:01 am »
Hurt my shoulder at work in mid-Sept, laid-off in early Oct, Surgery in late Nov and had 4 bows started for Christmas gifts. Got everything done except the lacquering, handle-grips,  and 1 string. Thought I wasn't going to make, but it's looking O.K. 3 are for 3 of my kids (all grown) and 1 for a very a great buddy (unofficial adopted Brother). My son may have to wait 'til after the new year for a string cause this sling contraption is kinda a pain in the hiney! I'm not the best bowyer by any means, but they turned out nice, for my abilities as a bowyer. It's killing me not being able to shoot 'em! Guess I'll wait till Christmas and watch them!  ;) Bows are 2 BBE (for my daughters-Fluorescent Pink), 1 BBRO for my youngest son (black), and a Hickory self bow for my Brother! Then this spring when I get released for full use of shoulder I can start on a new bow for me!
