Hi everyone

I was just wondering if any of you new where the classic pyramid bow design comes from.
Is it more common in some areas of the world or of is it a design common to most bow building populations?
I always thought is was a south American thing.......

Thanks
Matt

I think todays pyramid bows are a modern adaptation of a combination of ancient bow styles from all over the world.

Clarence N. Hickman discussed the design in an article published Jan.1,  1932. (He also discussed other designs, in the article which was about the effects of width and thickness on bending in bows.)
