What does a fella need to do to get an elm stave?
« on: October 13, 2014, 12:51:51 am »
I've been practicing on marginal wood and think I could handle working an elm stave.

I'd like to make a bendy handle recurve.

Anybody have something straightish and suitable?

Not certain what I'd trade but I could make a ret of retro broad heads?  See Sean woods saxton pope style broad head video on you tube.

I have a big (10 foot 500 pound) Elm log curing now. It is Siberian elm, will be ready spring summer and you are welcome to trade for one. Let me know if it will work for you.
