This hophornbeam was cut back on March 23 by my buddy Jon(straightarrow)and his friend and I,and on April 26 it was flinging arrows
I normally don't do the quickdry thing anymore as I have plenty of seasoned stock around, but this one just was screaming at me to make a bow out of it,so I did
And boy oh boy am I glad I did,and didn't wait any longer...this thing has become my #1 selfbow...its that good!!!!
I had this one down at the classic and shot it a couple times down there, and have been shooting since then...ive just been too busy and such with other things to snap some pics and try to do it some justice and post n share it with y'all(almost a month later)...
Heres the stats....66"ntn...51@27"...16 ounces mass...1.1" wide at the fades... .980" wide at the handle/arrow pass... .300" wide tips... paduak tip overlays...horn shelf glued on wrapped under a leather grip...two tone dye job(red and honey amber)and it bends slightly in the handle
thanks for looking y'all

The cleanest looking HHB "skinny" I've ever seen.
You may want to consider slapping a bit of that dye on yourself there "full moon". lol.

I can see why you pushed that one along. Born to be bow. I like everything about this one.

That is a beauty. I saw it in person and shot a round with BH while he used it. I was very impressed with it. Nice job buddy.

Sweet looking bow Blackhawk. Bend looks spot on and the finish makes it pop.

Classic bend combined with vintage Gibson Les Paul. Good stuff.

.980" wide at the handle/arrow pass...
Sounds like someone has been having fun with digital calipers.
