I was given a proper demo on how to draw a war bow by Del with that bow. It involved elbowing a ninja like a proper bloke ;D
Great bow built by a great guy that went to a kinda ok guy ,I guess.  >:D

Rich, that is an awesome bow.  I had the pleasure to meet Dell at the classic and it is really great that you guys got to trade bows.  When two guys whose abilities I truly respect from two different parts of the world get to do something like that - well, it's like I said before - The Classic is a place where all sorts of good trails cross.  I bet it shoots sweet,  eh? :D

Super nice looking longbow, nicely done Del. Congrats on getting that beauty Rich, nice to see a generous guy as yourself get get such a nice gift. Does look a little odd though to see a post of you pulling back a bow of the old country design and length. :)
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

You lucky dog, Rich. It looks like a very worthwhile swap. I would like to see you tiller one that long over your knee.  ;D
That bow sure looks good on you. Good job Mr. Cat!!

Thank you George, I will.

Kenny, cant even string it bare handed, how the hell could I tiller over the knee :o

Mr. Bent, I'm the first to admit that it's a damned fine bow. I have other "long" bows that shoot very well also but this "all England" longbow is something I would have never had or even seen if not for Dell's generosity.

Mr. Rhodes, you know for a fact that I got at least one more long bow and both shoot very very well, hope to kill some deer with both. I've been blessed with the folks I've met since joining up.

Thanks for all the kind words folks, even the jokers, eh :) :) :) 8)

It's fun to rib you, because you know it is all in good humor and comes from the heart.  Enjoy that skinny stick!

Congrats on the bow to both of you fellas. Hope to have my hands on a true long bow someday.

PS: you're not really a midget are you?

Just remembered, that's one of the bows that was on TV in the "Tudor Monastery Farm Christmas Special".
So it's got a bit of a story to tell it's grand kids.

hey Dell, thats a way cool bit of information....sent you a PM also

Marco, no I'm not but gettin ribbed about how I'd need me a ladder to shoot a real bow,  >:D pokin fun at myself, eh?

Arrowind, yes sir I most definitely am that

hunterbob, seems to be a "fair" bow wood ;)

JW, I will do that, sir. I'm a little nervous to take her to the deer woods, however. I'd like to put 1 or 2 down and then put her up for target shooting. I hope she gets very little abuse out there in the woods. In the process of making some "wann-a-be" English arrows 8)
