Hey, How abouta' threesome?
« on: March 13, 2014, 06:46:35 pm »
Now that I have your undivided bow porn attention >:D

I was blessed to receive two works of art this week from two good friends and bowyers. The other is one I finished.

Dave "DVS" made me a beautiful sapwood backed osage R/D bow, his signature style. The tips are buff horn. It pulls 57 @ 27 and kicks my a$$ after 8-10 shots, but flat out rips an arrow! I LOVE IT Dave! Thanks buddy

Greg "Badly Bent" made me a complete work of art, his signature style. Anybody that has seen Gregs bows in person know exactly what Im talking about. His unique tastes and talents are evident. The bow is black locust and pulls 47 @ 27. Its dead silent in the ear and hand. It will go on a  turkey a time or two this spring. Amazing bow Greg!

Mine is 62" ntn and pulls 50 @ 27. The skins are WDB and the tips are ipe. I filled the front of the grip out with cork. I also tried a new integral grip where there is no separate strike plate or rest rug. Im diggin' it so far. The tips are skinny buggers, right at 3/8". I started with 180 degrees of twist and figure 30 is left. It was my toughest bow to tiller in a good while. Took me a week!!!! Still not sure I nailed it?

Wish I could have got better pics, but our weather is and has been Alaska miserable for months.

So that's my threesome! Enjoy all 20 pics you bow pron addicts!! >:D

Nice work, by all.
Straight wood may make a better bow, but crooked wood makes a better bowyer

Oooohh... nothing better than a good threesome!  :o Quite a number of years back, a friend of my girlfriend..... ooohhh, yah forgot... family forum... my bad. Flashback. Sorry.  ;D

Those are three very sah-weet bows! All three are drop dead gorgeous. If I did have the pick of the litter, I think the R/D sapwood-on osage flatbow is just eye candy all the way. It bends sooo sweet. Mmmm. Me likey. I think you should share the love and send that north!  ;)

If you was an octopus you could shoot all three and still have two limbs to move around with!  Nice bows, all three, good for you!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
