What happened to Chicken Hawk???
« on: March 04, 2014, 11:50:14 pm »
AKA Blackhawk, AKA Black Mocking Bird, AKA Chris... Haven't seen a post or a bow picture from him in a while. That is unusual as he was a bow making fool...  Hope all is well with him and the family.. Hope he didn't go out and buy a compound or a crossbow.. :) But if he did, I understand...

Never heard of him.  New guy?

 >:D
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

He hasn't been in the bow building mind for months. He and the family are alive and well, but he isnt into bows right now. You gotta ask yourselves, do you really miss him?....;)
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

I kinda miss the competition of who can build a bow the fastest.  He can do it in three hours and I can in three months.

Hey guys...

Not into bows eh?? Then i guess this don't count...built this one a couple weekends ago and got it shooting, but I've been waiting for better weather to commence shooting...its just been a brutal cold winter and I like shooting in my bows outside...

Here's the side profile...at rest it hasn't budged a fraction of an inch from the shape it came out of the form...

Also ran a ring last night n drew some lines down...guess that don't count either??

Aaaaaaand in the meantime while I'm waiting for better weather I've been also doing a lot of this lately.....

Got an upcoming trip this summer and I've been getting my butt whipped back into climbing, bouldering, scrambling, hiking, etc shape

So I'm still kicking and playing with wood from time to time and enjoying it for just myself n no one else...n just taking a backseat to the forums for personal reasons

Look at the riser on that baby!!  Cant wait to see more pics of that one.  Looks long, lean and mean.  And I agree with hawk, family first.
