New bow
« on: December 24, 2007, 03:31:34 pm »
I just finished this one up before Christmas. It is Ash backed, Hophornbeam. It has whitetail knocks. It is 1 1/8" at the fades, and tapers to a point. The handle is center shot with an Eastern Rattle snake skin.It shoots 50# @ 28" and is 65" N to N.Being the length it is,it is very fast and smooth. Very pleasant to shoot.

Ryan,The bottom limb worried me to start with. There is a knot where it's bending a lot. After about 10 shots the top limb comes in and they are equal.

This is the first time I tried one.Eastern Diamond backs are very big and the skin is thick.I like the way it feels, has a good rough ,grip.
