It is against our rules...
« on: January 13, 2014, 06:56:26 pm »
It is against the rules of the PA website for anyone to post a direct link to any site that is not a sponsor of Primitive Archer Magazine or the Primitive Archer website. Doing this once will get you a warning. Do it twice and you will be banned for a period of time to be determined! I have been giving quite a few warnings lately, not only to newbies but to a few long time users. We have been keeping track of everyone that has been warned and check that list every time anyone is warned.
You can give the company name and folks can look up the site on their own. DO NOT POST DIRECT LINKS!!!  >:(

Does that include any site, like Youtube or Photobucket? Or just websites that sell things?

Thanks!

Commercial sites.   Read the rules. I believe they cover it.

It's only commercial sites that sell archery or archery related products.  The second offense gets you a 30 day ban and then it's 3 strikes and you are out..of here that is permanently.  To play it safe don't post any links to a commercial site that sells anything.  That way you won't get into trouble

I've PM'd a link to a Moderator before if I wasn't sure if it was OK  to post or not.  I got a friendly reply with an answer.

In all cases, our Moderators are decent, contributing members of this forum.  They are not jackbooted thugs looking to bounce people for any and all offences.  If they were, I would have been gone about 6600 posts ago!

If in doubt, do like OO says...pm them the question and enjoy the brief wait before you get your answer.
