Why do I always get this twist in my loops with endless string strings?

I always get this annoying twist in my loops with endless strings, I suspect it might be due to my string jig not being tight enough when I do the first servings before I serve the loops together. Anybody know why and maybe how I can fix this?

  I think the serving jig does that to mine...After stringing and a few shoots they seem to disappear though.
   That's just a good sign of some tight serving, good job...

Untwist them          you might have to get the server to loosen up a bit. You want it tight but too tight gets that

It's because you are introducing some twist in the string as you wind the string off your spool and onto the jig.
 You can see this in a more dramatic form if you wind anything like an extension cord or a hose up. The loops will tend to try to figure eight.

Ive seen plenty of purchased EL strings that had that twist. It might be slightly inherent to the style?

I sure wouldn't serve it looser.  You don't want it sliding around.  Your serving job in that picture looks excellent.  Are you twisting the string on your jig before you add the final serving layer?

Well either way I will try doing the first serving just not "as tight", maybe "looser" was a bad word choice.

 I wouldn't change a thing... Keep it tight! Are the twists causing a problem? When I make endless loop strings and use a jig it twists every time. The cover serving is what causes mine. As the spooled jig passes each string a slight amount of twist goes in each one. when I take it off the jig the loop tries to reverse twist. But as I said before it always comes out later. I'd rather stay on the tight side...
      If you look closely you can see the strings under the cover serving already beginning to twist caused from the friction of the serving spool jig.

I have had endless strings that were made with too loose of serving snap on me at the string loop while shooting because the serving shifted and the strands beneath frayed quickly. Keep it tight.

I've been through a lot of old endless loop strings in my day and the problem is typical in all of them. Just to double check I pulled out an extra string made by Nirk (old) for an old 60" Bear B Mag and it's twisted just like yours.
