Used Reclaimed Bandsaw Blades

Where could I find used reclaimed bandsaw blade material?
I am wanting some to make wood carving knives and i have read that this is a good material resource.

You could also use circular saw blades. They might be easier to find.

What size are you looking for"  Width?  Thickness?
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I have a few "dead" bandsaw blades also.  What size are you looking for?

I think I need an inch or more wide, have no idea about thickness.

PatB, what do I need to watch for in regards to circular saw blades?

I guess for a carpenter to throw one away or at least turn his head!  ;D  I've made trade points from old circular saw blades. I think about any have good enough steel and they are soft enough that you can cut then with a good hacksaw or a cold chisel.

Sorry, I have none over an inch wide.  Wish my machine was that big, but it is not.

I have a blade from a sawmill bandsaw I think it's 6in or 8in wide.
